My warmest welcome to Singapore, the lion city

Welcome to Singapore, the vibrant young nation bursting with vigor and passion, although small our island may be, it is a dynamic city rich in contrast and colour, you'll find a harmonious blend of culture, cuisine, arts and architecture here. Brimming with unbridled energy, this little dynamo in the Southeast Asia embodies the finest of both East and West.

A trip to Singapore will never be fruitful if you miss out on visiting our very on esplanade, theatres by the bay, one of the busiest art hubs in the world today. It is located just by marina bay, the mouth of Singapore river and hence its name theatres by the bay.

I am sure you would never miss its distinctive features of two large dome shaped shells with pieces of glass installed on its shell to create a striking architecture icon against the urban city’s skyline. Because of its spiky appearance, it is also called the ‘durian’ affectionately by the locals.

The esplanade houses world class performance spaces with a range of professional support facilities and services. Its two main venues are the 1,600-seat Concert Hall and the 2,000-seat theatre. It showcases music festivals, theatre performances and the cultural and visual arts, coming from both local and international performers.

I am looking forward upon your arrival so I can show you in person the real beauty of the esplanade. I believe you would enjoy your stay here in Singapore. See you soon.

Noel Sim
