Why plot, characters, setting and twist are essential in creating an interesting story?
What makes an interesting story? just the plot? the characters? an interesting story should consist of a well thought-out plot, descriptive settings, characters that express the story well, as well as a unexpected twist to make the story different from the rest and make the reader captivated. The plot of the story should be well crafted and straight-forward so as to not make the story draggy and thus boring. Characters are also important as it makes the story come alive, characters also determine the effect of the story, whether it has the ability to impact the reader. A twist will make the story take on a new turn and make the story even more enjoyable to read, the more unexpected the twist is, the better it is. These "ingredients" are essential for making a good and interesting story that will captivate readers.
